Let me explain what the glycemic index is. The glycemic index would be the ratio from the rate at which a meals raises blood glucose concentrations in comparison with a reference meal such as glucose, which includes a GI of 100. A meals which includes a GI of 70 or higher is usually a substantial GI foodstuff and lower GI food are foodstuff which includes a GI of much less than 55. Sweets and refined or processed ingredients tend to have higher GIs. Foods that will not include carbohydrates, such as meats, don't have a glycemic index. Consuming plenty of refined foodstuff and sweets sets your blood sugar concentrations up for any roller coaster ride.
