I know that it doesn't make sense but a little "cheating" with some high glycemic index foods now and then does not make you fat. Its the intake of too many carbs over an extended period that will make you fat. So, if you have the need to cheat every now and then, go ahead, cheat. But make it in small doses and not huge amounts. If you're eating out you can ask the wait person to put the blue cheese dressing on the side. Or perhaps have that cheeseburger but without the bun. Wrap it in lettuce leafs instead of that high glycemic index bun.
